Last Day of School

It's finally here! Summer! I always enjoy this too-short reprieve from homework, backpacks full of uneaten lunch food, backpacks full of crumpled newsletters in both spanish and english (what country do I live in??) and endless advertisements for YMCA, City Rec. leagues, the list goes on. It is pure bliss for me not to be so scheduled each and every day of the week. But wait....in one week Cub Scout Day Camp will begin (for which I have to volunteer my help or else my son cannot attend). Immediately following Day Camp is Girls' camp for our church. I have been asked to be in the Craft Cabin this year. It is a week of intense learning and growing for these girls and I am grateful to be a part. But I need to take a second and breathe because the day after Girls' Camp, our family is making our annual summer trip to Utah. It's the week our daughter, Kylii, will be attending a gymnastics camp at BYU. My sister who lives in Australia and another sister who lives in California will also be visiting Utah that week so it will be a fun, crazy time but well worth the effort. I just know these three weeks of non-stop action are going to hit me like a brick when we get home and it is going to take the rest of the summer to recuperate:-) In a blink of an eye, summer will be gone. And I haven't even mentioned the camping trip in July and the Pioneer Trek in August. I'm mourning already.

Here are a few pics from the last day of school:

Hey, I need those pictures of the kids attacking Rivas! So fun! And yes, summer will be so nice, but way too quick! That was fun hangin out at the gym on our first day. We'll have to hit the beach next week.
