Camp Ritchie 2008

Nestled in the heart of the Sierras along the Mormon Emigrant Trail near Pioneer, California, sits Camp Ritchie. In the early 70's the LDS Church obtained a 100 year lease on some property and built cabins to use for Young Women's Camp. With it being over 30 years old, it has undergone some recent improvements and is in wonderful condition right now. With amenities such as rock climbing, repelling, canoeing, boating, hiking, etc., Camp Ritchie is without doubt one of the greatest YW camps to ever exist! Two weeks ago my daughter got to experience it for the first time. It was my second trip to Camp Ritchie and I was thrilled that I could share it with her this time. Knowing what a treat she'd be having, I awaited our week there with great anticipation. The pictures in the following slideshow only catch a glimpse of the beauty of Camp Ritchie. One can't help but feel close to God when there. It happens to everyone who goes to this camp.
