Worshipping "Idols"

Okay. I admit it. I'm a HUGE American Idol fan. Every year when the season has finished, I think to myself, "There's no way this show can keep getting better. I'm sure I won't like it as much next time." I think the 2008 year was the best yet and I am convinced that it will never be better. I enjoyed it so much that I bought tickets to the summer tour. I took Kylii and Berlin with me since they share my enthusiasm (Arnell and Kort wouldn't admit to being fans and Kamryn is only 4, so they got to stay home). I took my video camera into the HP Pavilion so I could record the concert. Since the contestants were performing in order of elimination, I saved my battery power for my favorites (my camera battery only lasts an hour or so). Luckily I recorded a little bit of everyone. And in my opinion, David Archuleta stole the show! The level of noise in the HP Pavilion increased a hundred-fold when he came on stage. It was crazy! I was a small contributor to that screaming. I felt like a little kid. I regressed about 20 years and let my inhibitions go. It was great fun and I know my daughters enjoyed every second.

I wish I was there with you! I can totally relate...I let my inhibitions go when I was watching Blake Lewis last year. I can't imagine being there watching David Archuletta. How exciting!!! You still have to show my your video from it.

I'm working on downloading the video footage. My computer is too old to accomodate it. So I've got to wait for Arnell to download to his laptop. It's coming!
