A month ago I was able to get away for the weekend and visit my parents in Utah. It was my dad's birthday and my sister, Kristiina, and I thought it would be fun to go celebrate with him. We both live in California and only make it to Utah once or twice a year (summer and/or the holidays). What a rare opportunity it was to FLY to Utah and be without my children and husband for a few days. Now, don't get me wrong. I LOVE my family! But every mom needs her batteries recharged once in a while and this little trip was just the recharge I needed. It was great to actually VISIT with my parents and spend time with them. Time that we don't have when my children and hubby are there too. So "Thank You" mum & dad for a wonderful time! "Thank You" Arnell for letting me go! And "Thank You" Kristiina for suggesting the idea. It was great!

That is so great! Loren was just saying last night, "when are you going to go spend the day with your parents, without all the kids?" It's time to do that again. Thanks for reminding me what it's like to feel recharged! P.S. What a gorgeous family!!!
You guys are so cute! Parents are the greatest huh?
Of course I remember you! I didn't know you knew Mandarina! We used to work together. I'll forward your blog address onto Ford. Good to hear from you. I've book marked you now!
