We have realized over the years that taking Christmas to Utah is A LOT of work. So this year we got smart and decided to go to Utah the day AFTER Christmas. However, everyone else in California "got smart" and did the same thing.
Traffic was so heavy from Sacramento to Reno that it took an extra 3 hours to get through the Sierras. Nevertheless, we made it to safely to Utah and enjoyed a wonderful week of family and snow.
The following slideshow includes pictures that were taken at Hardware Ranch, an elk preserve nestled in the canyon east of Hyrum, Utah. Our kids loved the 15 minute sleigh ride through the meadow. It was picturesque and interesting, all at the same time. You will also see our kids at the Brigham City Cemetery, visiting Grandpa Anderson's grave, Kort riding his first snowmobile, visiting Izzy's latest litter of siblings, our darling nephew, Jason, making an authentic Mexican dinner for us (he served a mission in Mexico City), the kids with Grandma Anderson, and our Prazen/Smith/Cox cousins on the day of India's baptism. In another post I will have pictures of our stay with Nanna and Pappa K. We had such a wonderful time on this trip and can't wait for the next one!

I was hoping you were blogging on this dreary day ;-). Your pictures are awesome. Hey, how did the pictures of Kamryn in her rainboots running through puddles turn out? That was so CUTE!!!
We did that sleigh ride for my birthday one year! I love California so much but a small part of me still aches for Utah..... just a small part. :)
